Raw Banana Porridge for Babies

This powder is so healthy, it helps in healthy weight gaining in your babies. Normally we feed ragi porridge for babies, and i am sure that babies will get bored because of the same food. 

Feed ragi porridge on one day, the next day i go for oats and apple porridge, then the next day. Go for banana porridge, then  go for barley and apple porridge(recipe soon). This way your baby wont get bored of the same food. I am still looking for new food ideas for my baby. 

Few things you have to remember before making this.

1)The consistency of the porridge which you make totally depends on you. You can make it too runnier and pour it bottles and feed your baby or make it little thicker and feed your baby using a spoon.

2) I use panakarkandu or karupatti as sweetner. Karupatti strengthens your baby bones. Panakarkandu helps prevending cold for your babies. You can even mix up a small piece of both.

3)If you feed a good bowl of this for your baby. Your baby will sleep peacefully for a good 2 to 3 hours. It is that filling.

This wont cause constipation in babies.Feeding this every alternate days to Kid and they pass stool daily.

You need very raw big banana(Nendran Banana)
Cut both the ends

Use a knife make slashes in it, all the way through the skin
Peel em

Take a slicer

start slicing the bananas

you can use anything to dry the banana

place the sliced banana in that

it will take couple of days to dry the banana

now time to powder them

take them in a blender

powder it

use a fine sieve and sift it

store this in a air tight containerTake a clean saucepan, add in 2 tblspn of karupattior panankalkandu. Now pour in 3/4 cup of clean water. Heat this up and cook untill the karupatti is melted.

Now take a clean bowl and add 2 scoops of banana powder. Add some clean water and mix it up till smooth. 

Now place a fine mesh strainer over the bowl and Sieve the karupatti liquid through this. Mix this well.

I washed the saucepan in the meantime. Now pour this liquid again in the saucepan.

Heat this on a low flame stiring continously. Cook this for around 2 mins till the banana is cooked and thicken.

Take it off the heat, allow it to cool down and transfer it to feeding bowl or feeding bottle and feed your baby..

Take a couple of spoons of banana powder

Add some water

Mix it to form a smooth mix, this
way it doesn't form lumps
Now take karupatti in a sauce pan

add water

heat it to melt

once it is melted
place a strainer over the mixed bowl

strain this mix

Mix it up

Pour it back in the sauce pan

heat it up

keep stiring

It will get thick

Allow it to cool a bit

Serve warm to your baby
